  1. The biggest so far is 4kg. With the small ones its gotten almost ridiculous. The small-gädda counter is at over 15 now too bad they have so annoying bones that its hard to get proper file’ out of them. Fried som abborre in breadcrumbs and butter yesterday, those were superb.

Well that was a disapointment, not even a fiskmås to take out your frustration on?
1 kg gädda makes some food, so at least you didnt have to return home hungry this week
  3. Todays catch was only a 1kg gädda and a few abborrar. The 20kg+ gadda is still waiting for me...

So... recently I was on the Internet and found a guide how to build a quadcopter from scratch. So I decided to make one just cause...

Basically all you need is:

A frame
4 motors
a flight controller "the brains"
4 speed controllers for the motors
a transmitter

+tools,wires,and connectors for the wires.

The first step was to build the frame. I ordered my cheap frame from ebay

Captain's midsummer (b)log

by WestS[TAO] on 06-23-2013 at 04:24 PM
Midsummer is celebrated in the Scandinavian and Baltic countries when its the lightest part of the year. It's celebrated a bit differently in each country but it usually involves dancing(around a fallos symbol), drinking and lighting a big bonfire. Finns celebrate midsummer at their summer cottages, in the archipelago or somewhere in the countryside, away from the cities.

I decided to head out to the archipelago this year. There is an island called Hästö pretty close to Helsinki in

by WestS[TAO] on 03-30-2013 at 01:44 PM
Today I will start a 3 day journey to find our saviour Ulf. The quest starts in Helsinki, Finland where I will board a holy ship which will take me to the promised land of Sweden, the homeland of Ulf.

So I boarded the ship on day one full of expectations.

However the excitement was too much for me so I had to buy some relaxing swedish beverages from the shop.

WestS cooking corner #6 - Delicious pork chops

by WestS[TAO] on 10-29-2012 at 12:52 PM
Its time to get some life into my blog again and this time I will be making pork chops. Pork is 100 times cheaper than beef and really delicious also. Pork is also really easy to make and thats why I decided to keep it really simple this time, just pork and "oven fries".

2 pork chops
4 potatoes (a varaint that's somewhat "solid")
2 Onions
3 Garlic cloves
Olive oil
soy sauce

WestS cooking corner #5 - Survival edition

by WestS[TAO] on 07-07-2012 at 04:41 PM
In case of a zombie apocalypse me and two on my friends decided to head out and refresh our survival skills. We deciced to head to the coast to catch some fish for food. We dug up some worms and used them as bait with our fishing rods.

We also put up a shelter in case of any rain.

The we started fishing. We finally managed to catch a few perches. They were somewhat small but we decided
