Captain's midsummer (b)log

Midsummer is celebrated in the Scandinavian and Baltic countries when its the lightest part of the year. It's celebrated a bit differently in each country but it usually involves dancing(around a fallos symbol), drinking and lighting a big bonfire. Finns celebrate midsummer at their summer cottages, in the archipelago or somewhere in the countryside, away from the cities.
I decided to head out to the archipelago this year. There is an island called Hästö pretty close to Helsinki in an area which remained under Russian control until 1956, after WW2. The russian artilley could reach the capital city Helsinki from there, so it was strategically important for them after the peace.
The weather couldn't have been better when we left the harbor of Helsinki.
The boat was loaded with equipment so survive two night of heavy midsummer-partying..
The trusty Volvo purred like a little cat all the way. It appears all Volvo engines come bundled with a Ulf so I took him with me...
Soon the city was behind and all ahead was just flat the sea.
There was only a slight breeze, just enough to keep the sailboats moving.
After approx 1 hour of driving we reached our destination. It turns our I might have to upgrade my boat or get a bigger penis... We ate and consumed a fair amount of alcohol beverages..
Soon the bonfire was lit.
The night was bright and the sun never went down the horizon.
Soon it was time to fire up the Volvo and head back home.
The weather was a bit worse than when we left and there was a dense fog blocking the view.
The for didn't stop us and we made it back safely. Thanks for reading
