WestS cooking corner #6 - Delicious pork chops

Rate this Entry
Its time to get some life into my blog again and this time I will be making pork chops. Pork is 100 times cheaper than beef and really delicious also. Pork is also really easy to make and thats why I decided to keep it really simple this time, just pork and "oven fries".

Ingredients:

2 pork chops
4 potatoes (a varaint that's somewhat "solid")
2 Onions
3 Garlic cloves
Salt
Pepper
Olive oil
soy sauce

Step 1

The pork chops, onions and potatoes

Step 2

Cut the potatoes into cloves and put them in a bowl.

Step 3

Cut the garlic into small pieces and put them into the bowl with the potatoes.

Step 4

Add some olive oil and salt and mix together.

Step 5

Place the potatoes on a oven plate and put them into the oven @225 C for around 20min until they get a slightly brown color.

Step 6

Now season the pork chops with salt and pepper and rub the chops with olive oil so that the spices are properly spread.

Step 7

If the chops have a white belt of fat, cut it so that the chop wont bend when you fry it. The fat will shrink while frying and miss form the pork chop.

Step 8

Cut the onions into big chunks.

Step 9

Add some oil to a frying pan and wait for the oil to get really hot. Then add the pork chops and the onions. Add some soy sauce on top for some extra flavour.

Step 10

Fry until the chops have a nice brown/golden color and are properly cookes inside. You can make a cut if you're not sure if it ready. Also remove the onions from the pan if that start burning.

Step 11

Now take out the potatoes (or when they have a slightly brown color) and put them on a plate with your delicious pork chops and onions!

Step 12

NOW EAT!

(Hint: After you remove the pork chops from the pan you can pour some cream on the pan to get a really tasty sauce!)

Niiice WestS! Good to see you tending to your blog. Just like Ulf does with his crops!

As expected WestS your photo's have a professional/slightly artistic finish. Of course those of us that know you by now know you have an 'artistic eye'. Good job there.

Not crazy about pork chops but I like the simplicity of your dish. Keep up the good work!! (I wonder what you did when you finished taking those photo's? )

Ah man!! Instead of using knives to dice up vegetables why not make your cooking blog unique by shooting the shit out of certain ingredients?? You could use a 12 gauge for making mash and an Uzi to dice onions!!
